THE HISTORY and THE LAND
The lands on which stands the Fattoria Piccaratico belong to Rossini family since the early 1800. In the 70s there was, together with the acquisition of new vineyards and olive groves, the transformation in modern farm, but keeping the direct care by the family of products, of the land and the environment where it is located.
Since 2004 began a process of renewal of the company with the replanting of the vineyards and the construction of a new winery, equipped with all the technological tools to ensure continuous monitoring of all stages of the production process. The combination of modernity and tradition has as main objective the continuous search for quality in the production company.
The company covers about 12 hectares: of these, 10 are vineyards, while the remaining two are devoted to the cultivation of olive trees. Fattoria Piccaratico produce: Chianti DOCG, Bianco Empolese DOC in two versions white wine and vinsanto, IGT supertuscan and extravirgin olive oil.
